12: Prima Donna

In the late ‘90s I met up with the poet and novelist Iain Sinclair. I asked if he’d be interested in writing some song lyrics for me. A couple of days later I received two sets of lyrics through the post... the old post! The producer I was working with at the time disappeared and the project was put on ice. When I formed Gaffer Hexam with guitarist Rupert Orton, Fred Reynolds on bass and old compadre Simon Lomond on drums, in 2002, we dusted the lyrics off and recorded both the songs. The tracks were produced by Boz Boorer at Roundhouse Studio and Sinclair added a bit of spoken word.
