2: The Holy Hour

I started to write this song on the train between Dublin and Belfast in 1988 while on tour with the singer/songwriter Tanita Tikaram. The Tender Trap recorded a demo of it in ‘89 with the money we won in a local band competition. This was recorded in 1991 at Curtis Shwartz Studio with Ian Richardson and Nic Coler producing. It features Ian on drums and Nic on bass and piano, Geoff Whitehorn is on guitar, Mike Piggott is featured on violin. As with Irish Ivan’s Spirit Song - it owes a huge debt to Van the Man... which I won’t go into now. The song was mixed at The Curtis Shwartz Studio
