3: Winter’s Here Again

This music was written by Jo Clack in 1986. I added the words and Jenny Clements played the tenor horn. We originally recorded the song at The Blue Room near the Oval which was owned by Rick Buckler of The Jam. It was one of three tracks on an EP of the same name. That year Jo and I won the Harlow Rock and Pop Contest and played tirelessly around London, Cambridge and Essex. The original tape was in such bad shape that we re-recorded it at Tony Roche’s just before lockdown in 2020. Richard Montgomery played the horn part. It was great to revisit the song after so many years.
